Research shows that having a continuous support person greatly improves the satisfaction of the birthing person.
It’s hard to overestimate the power of a continuous calm, affirming, therapeutic presence, which is what I bring. I’m here to validate, encourage and support your birthing process.
Nurses will be coming in and out of the room but I'll be with you all the way. A doula is unique in primacy of interest in the birthing person - my focus will rest exclusively on you.
Birth is like a marathon - your body knows what to do and I'll be on your team cheering you on. I bring lots of comfort measures in my tool box to encourage relaxation and calm.
My job is to support your birth goals, whatever they may be.
I want to help you toward the best birth for YOU.
Doulas provide emotional, psychological and physical support to families through the birth process.
The presence of a constant support person empowers families toward their own best birth experience.
I’m a Certified Doula that stands for professional, unbiased, compassionate support.
SUPPORTED.
EMPOWERED.
COURAGEOUS.
You deserve continuous, attentive, attuned support. You don't have to go it alone or have all the answers. I'll be with you every step of the way to offer comfort measures, information, and calm assurance.
Your partner has an invaluable role to play that I won't replace. The comfort measures I may suggest can also be used by your partner -- think, supported on all sides.
A doula can support any birth philosophy; from low-intervention, to epidural, to cesarean birth.
You've got this. You are beautifully and wonderfully equipped. As your doula, I will come alongside to help you to find, and re-find, your inner guiding voice.
I will offer guidance and will work to create a space that supports your right to the best birth experience for you.
In the face of the unknown or unexpected, you can be sure that your body, your baby, and your birth team are all working together to overcome every challenge.
You are courageously carrying this new life. Your choices in birth and for your baby are courageous -- whatever they are.
My job is to affirm, undergird and help implement your decisions along the way - as well as help facilitate communication with your provider, if desired.
"Advocacy is defined as supporting the birthing person in their right to make decisions about their own body and baby."
